Every issue and every family is uniquely different. I try to help families as efficiently and swiftly as possible. At your initial session we will discuss a time frame depending on the issue and its severity.

Do you accept insurance and if not what are your fees?
Yes, I accept some of the major insurances. I currently accept the following insurances: APS (only EAP), College Health IPA, Aetna Behavioral Health, Arizona Foundation For Medical Care, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona PPO, Contact Behavioral, Humana, CorpHealth insurance, Galaxy Health Network, Compsych, Multiplan, Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS), MHN, Health Net, Schaller Anderson, AZ Benefit Options, Interface and CorVel CorCare Program. Please note that your behavioral health insurance company may be different than your medical health insurance. Many insurance cards will not specify the company providing your benefits. To confirm the insurance company providing your behavioral health benefits, please call the 800 number provided on your card for "mental health and substance abuse". Some insurance companies require you to call them first to get pre-authorized for services. Please check with your insurance company before making an appointment. For families paying out of pocket therapy fees are $120 per session. A sliding scale is offered for families with financial difficulties ranging from $45 to $120 a session depending on annual income level.

What is your degree in and what is your experience?
I graduated magna cum laude from
Arizona State University with my MSW.
I was recognized for my educational
achievements and was invited to attend a post-
graduate 2 year program sponsored by
Harris Institute & Arizona State University
receiving specialized training in infant, toddler,
preschool and family mental health.
I have worked extensively with a broad spectrum of ages and varying
developmental stages. I have had experience
with teens in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Inpatient, I treated teens for both acute
mental health issues and serious behavioral
disturbances. On an outpatient basis, I
have had success addressing common teen issues
and family difficulties.
I have had an extensive amount of experience
working in-home and center-based with all age children and teens
as well as with their families. I have also worked with the CPS
system to address issues of trauma and abuse.
My specialized experience gives me the extra
knowledge and understanding of how issues affect
toddlers, children, teens and their families.
I have graciously been recognized by my peers and by the
community for my knowledge of children’s
emotional and behavioral issues. I have been
recognized by various boards, committees and
magazines. I was invited and sat on the governor’s
board of Maricopa County Fatality and Review
Committee, representing the mental health community.
I was also invited to serve on the Harris Board
to address statewide training issues for mental
health professionals. I have been utilized as an
expert resource for columns in both Arizona Parenting
and Raising Arizona Kid’s Magazine. I have been
invited to facilitate training for school social workers and
have been a speaker for trainings at various
mental health conferences.
I maintain membership with the National Association for Social Workers, The Arizona Play Therapy Association and the Infant and Toddler Mental Health Coalition of Arizona. I have an active license with the Board of Behavioral Health.

What is your therapy approach?
I am very family and child-centered. I do not believe there is a "text book" answer to every child's issues. I believe that parents know their children the best, therefore I see therapy as a partnership. I will work with the family in treating them as individuals and coming up with a therapy that will work for them.

Do you work with courts or custody evaluations?
No, I do not provide court ordered therapy and do not get involved in court matters on any level. I do not make any recommendations to the court or to families regarding custody or parental court matters.
